Objectifs et compétences

Objectifs :
General objectives: to discover how Neuroanatomy is a living, dynamic field that needs to be grasped in order to build an understanding of brain functions and how they relate to structures; to be able to relate Neuroanatomy to clinical cases.

Strategy: Objectives & Methods

1. Know the structures and nomenclature 1. Neuroanatomy trivial pursuit, puzzles and conundrums

2. Understand complex spatial relationships 2. Movies and 3D constructions

3. Train spatial cognition in relation to brain structures and functions 3. Draw it to know it: a step by step kinaesthetic experience

4. Integrate knowledge of different functional systems through clinical cases 4. Use it to know it: Neuroanatomy through clinical cases

5. Understand the principles & interest of classical & modern neuroanatomical methods 5. Hands on and lab shows

Relate to the following competences : Master the foundations of modern Neurosciences; Have a general, precise and critical overview of the fields of Neurosciences, in all their aspects, from normal functioning to brain diseases and in adjacent fields (Functional neuroanatomy); Name the technical approaches of Neurosciences, explain their theoretical groundings and know when to use them; Apply the basic technical approaches of Neurosciences (Neuroanatomy); Justify the use of, develop and apply appropriate research methodologies (including proteomics, genomics, brain imaging, modelling…) and modern research tools (including software) for investigating brain research issues.
